duskbringer As a kid, I travelled a lot. I was dragged through airports, hotels and countries I didn't fully understand. There were some constants (the music I heard on the in-flight radios and hotel muzak) but also there was the constantly moving, internal mixture of strange sounds heard at the time, mixed with the beats in my own head whilst in transit. That was an awkward sentence that describes an awkward time nowhere near as well as this music does. Favorite track: Gold Coast.

about

AR180

Hello, this is Sean and I'm the person who makes and releases music under the alias of Linckoln. I'd like to be frank with you for a moment down here and I hope this doesn't come off too earnest, either to you now, or to myself later. Maybe I can just ask Scott to change the text, worse come to worse. Would you begrudge me that? Would you begrudge me that secret shame? Either way:

I started working on the first ideas that would become this "Dew" album in the Spring of 2013, when I still lived in Boston, MA. Which is less to tell you "I worked really hard on it" and more to tell you "I started working on this a long time ago" and “in a different place from where I currently live which is New York, NY.” That might still be a little self-indulgent but I think it's an interesting context. And if you don’t like it? The complaint department is on the 13th floor. This is my text box and this is my album.

Sike. It's not really my album. Dew wouldn't exist without the people featured on it and it wouldn't exist without Ailanthus Recordings. This music and the community of people that came together in the years preceding its inception served as something of a consistent space as I spent a good deal of time moving around. Indeed much of the album was generated while in transit, mostly on buses. And so too was much of it generated while sitting still.

[rushing water]

"Dew" is a secret world I hope you can go to for a little bit, but hopefully you are also able to share it with your loved ones. genuinely

- Sean
